Spam message from a company pretending to be the Canadian Revenue agency. Purposefully targeting seniors to get them to divulge personal information.

I received a voicemail claiming to be CBSA and that my SIN will be suspended due to suspicious activity. Followed the instruction to press 1, and spoke to a person named George Tucker (he had a thick foreign accent) and he proceeded to ask for my info to which I declined. I hung up, searched on CBSA official website and got this info: *If you have received a call from 1-800-461-9999 or any other 1-800 number, please note that it is not the CBSA calling. The CBSA does not contact the public by phone. This is a scam. Never give your social insurance number or other personal information over the phone. Learn more about how scammers pose as CBSA employees. To report scams, please contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.*;

I received a message telling me to call this number or my power will be shut off. They claimed they were Edison. I returned the call and it said the number is no longer in service. I called Edison, and they said they are getting reports of false calls like this.
